What Gets Cleared
Four surfaces, one price
Cheap quotes get cheap by leaving things out. Here is exactly what a Golden Angel plan covers.
The driveway
Cleared to the surface so you can get the car out without shovelling first. Snow stacked where it will not end up back across the entrance.
The walkway
The path from the door to the driveway and the street, cleared by hand where a machine cannot reach it safely.
Steps and landings
Hand work, every time. Steps are where most household falls happen in winter and they need clearing and treating properly.
The public sidewalk
The stretch bordering your property. This is the part the City holds you responsible for, and the part most quotes quietly leave out.

Calgary requires the public sidewalk bordering your property to be cleared to bare surface within 24 hours of snowfall ending. Not the driveway, the sidewalk. Our plans include the public sidewalk as standard. Worth checking any quote you compare us against, because if the sidewalk is not named in it, it is not covered.

What it costs
Monthly, for the season. Pricing follows the area cleared, so the final number depends on your property, but these are the real starting points rather than a "call for pricing" runaround.
No driveway
The walkway, the steps and the public sidewalk, for a home without a driveway.
Two-car driveway
A wider driveway with the same walkway, steps and sidewalk coverage. The most common Calgary plan.
Large or corner lot
Corner lots carry sidewalk on two sides, which is why they price differently. Long or oversized driveways sit here too.
Discounts
Ice melt is part of every plan rather than a line item added later.

A chinook lifts the temperature above freezing during the day and drops it back overnight. Snow that melted across your walk on Tuesday afternoon becomes clear ice by Wednesday morning, without a single new flake falling.
That ice is nearly invisible on a dark walkway at 7am, and it is the most common cause of winter falls here. It is also why ice control is included in our plans as standard: a snowfall-only service leaves the exact morning that matters uncovered.

Tell us the address and what needs clearing. Pricing is based on the area covered, so the quote is specific to your property rather than a range.
Set the plan
We agree what is covered and confirm it in writing before the season. Contract customers go on a committed route rather than a call-back list.
We show up
Through the season, without you calling each time. Track arrival times and see before and after photos of each visit in the app.
